Diabetes Mellitus and Oral Health

The oral cavity is the gateway to overall health. Although medicine and dentistry practice seperately, both healthcare fields treat the same human body. Research has found that there is a strong connection between the oral cavity and systemic disease. Having diabetes puts you at a greater risk of developing some oral health problems, most comploy peridontal disease.
