Oral Health America

Oral Health America (OHA) is a national nonprofit based in Chicago that is dedicated to changing lives by connecting communities with resources to increase access to care, education, and advocacy for all Americans, especially those most vulnerable. Through our programs, including the Wisdom Tooth Project®, OHA helps provide oral health care and education to people across the country who might not otherwise have access to it.

About The Wisdom Tooth Project

The Wisdom Tooth Project aims to change the lives of older adults especially vulnerable to oral disease. This web portal, ToothWisdom.org, is a large component of the program, which is tailored to older adults and their caregivers to connect them with education and access to care resources.

The program also includes demonstration projects, including Oral Medicine Clinics at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine that provide both dental and medical care to adults who need it most. To spread the message of the importance of oral health for older adults, the program will bring together health professionals and communities at regional symposia, publish a Silver Book in conjunction with the Alliance for Aging Research, and release A State of Decay: The Oral Health of Older Americans, Vol. II.
