How to Use Toothwisdom.org’s Find Care Tool

Find Affordable Dental CareYou gave us feedback and we listened! As of August 2017, we have re-launched our toothwisdom.org Find Care tool, making it easier for seniors and their caregivers to find local, affordable dental care.

What Has Changed?

Before 2017, our Find Care section listed clinics and resources by U.S. state. This was a great first step to help seniors find state-wide services, but it didn’t let you get local and search your area for clinics.

Our NEW Find Care tool uses Google Maps to help you find low-or-no-cost dental care clinics near you. Once you type in your Zip code or city, the tool searches a list of dental clinics and shows you where they are based on the location that you searched.

The following types of dental clinics are included in the tool:

  • Dental Schools & Hygiene Programs
  • Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
  • Health Departments
  • Low Cost or Sliding Scale Dental Clinics

How Do I Search for Affordable Dental Care?

Enter an address, city, or zip code on our Find Care page, or in the search box below:

Once you have searched, you will see a map with markers of all nearby clinics, as well as a list with information about the dental clinics.

What Clinic Information is Available through the Find Care Tool?

  • Name & Type (e.g. “Dental School” or “Health Department”)
  • Address & Directions
  • Phone Number
  • Website

There Aren’t Any Clinics Near Me: What Do I Do?

Try zooming out your map to see if there are any clinics a reasonable distance from you. You can do this by clicking the plus symbol directly on the map, as seen below:

*Note: Oral Health America’s list of clinics for the toothwisdom.org Find Care tool is constantly growing, and we apologize for any omissions. If you know about a clinic in your area not listed here, please let us know at [email protected].
